Retrospective Valuations
Powerhouse Property ProfessionalsIn situations where you are in need of understanding what the value of your property was, as at a prior date, a retrospective valuation is used. Put simply, a retrospective valuation is a backdated valuation report.
The need for valuations on properties at dates in the past arise from capital gains tax liabilities, estate settlement and immigration advice, along with advice for litigation and family law/property settlement matters.
Although internal inspections provide the most accurate valuation assessments, in some retrospective valuation cases, ownership of the property has been transferred, therefore access to the property internally, is no longer available. In these cases, retrospective valuations can be conducted via a kerbside inspection.
Powerhouse Property Professionals have the formal qualifications and membership of industry professional bodies as required by the Australian Taxation Office, Office of State Revenue, Family Law Court and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia to carry out retrospective valuation assessments.
