Property settlement valuations for family law matters are carried out when there is a separation of two parties through divorce or breakdown of a defacto arrangement.

As property settlements are a sensitive transaction, it is important that all parties receive a fair and equitable payout to finalise the separation.  For this reason, an independent property valuation should be carried out to ensure that each party is confident in commencing negotiations, and ultimately, with the settlement outcome.

In some circumstances, both parties may elect to appoint a single valuer to act on their behalf, or alternatively, each party may independently appoint valuers to act exclusively for them.

The Family Law Court requires unbiased, independent and expert advice that can only be obtained from a qualified property valuer.
